eduKALB seeks to bring quality school board leadership to DeKalb County. More than 100,000 students attend some 140 schools in the county. The success and achievement of our county’s school district begin with the members of the Board of Education and Superintendent.
Likewise the business community relies on the reputation of the school district to attract businesses and families to our community. eduKALB seeks to promote quality and sound school board leadership in DeKalb County. Through candidate forums, interviews, surveys, trainings, and voter education, eduKalb aims to promote school board leadership through the election of highly qualified school board members.
eduKALB Hosts Forum For DeKalb Board of Education
Candidates May 17th
eduKalb will host an important Candidates Information Session for individuals interested in seeking election to the DeKalb County Board of Education for Districts 2, 4, 6, and 8 on May 17th at The Mary Gay House located at
716 West Trinity Place in downtown Decatur 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM.
Concerned citizens who would like to know what qualities to look for in Board candidates or individuals interested in learning what it takes to become a BOE member and those considering running for the Board are encouraged to attend this important forum in preparation for the qualifying dates, May 23-25.
Due to a change in the November general election, the election of DeKalb's Board of Education Districts 2, 4, 6, and 8 takes place this year on the General Primary July 31.
